First
Team End of Season Ratings 2005/06 Ryan
Holland –
Joining from Porthleven early season, ‘Jens’ has clearly showed why he is
such a good goalkeeper. Although, unfortunate through illness he missed the
Christmas period, but has pulled of some wonder saves, if he stays put and
becomes a little more consistent will become a major asset to he side, great
kicking. Rating: 7/10 Chris
Dowrick
– Now a regular tax dodger, Dows has showed he still has the qualities to be a
top ‘keeper, when called upon. A notable game for Chris this season was that
against Biscovey, he wasn’t due to play until Saturday morning, when he
received the call, however, his train from Exeter was delayed and didn’t turn
up until 15 minutes into the game. Rating: 6/10 Jeremy
Pascoe
– Jez has again showed all of his ability on the ball again this season. Known
also Little Ant, from Ant ‘n’ Dec, along with Chappers, Jer has settled well
into his sweeper role, with the odd midfield game. Jer is played in every game
this season, only one was as a sub against Foxhole, good season. Rating: 8/10 Daniel
Meens
– What a season. Joined the club being brought in by Dingers as a 15 year old,
it took Meensy a bit of time to find a settled position, and he played
everywhere on the field (including a brief stint up front for Falmouth), until
he settled into a quality center half. A sure contender for player of the
season, was excellent against Foxhole in April. Ratiing: 9/10 Phil
Dingle
– Another consistent season from Mr.Dingle, instilled as the new ‘skipper at
the start of the season, his talking on and off the field has help not only the
team, but the club improve on a whole. Added to that brining his son Jordan’s,
Charlestown Under 14 side to play at Burngullow, hopefully we may reap the
rewards of these talented youngsters in the future. But, Phil never scored.
Rating: 9/10 Dave
Kitson
– Joined on transfer deadline day, to re-unite with older brother Chris, Dave
has clearly showed why Rowett choose to bring him to Burngullow full time, a
great center half, will be good to keep. Rating: 6/10 Pete
Davey
– The Truro man has had a great season with his home town club, and has
brought that will to win along with him when helping us out. A regulary used
make-shift striker Pete has scored two against Foxhole, to gain a point and has
always given 100% Rating: 6/10 Adam
Holland –
Persuaded back into the fold by older brother Ryan, in November, Ads has done
well in a quest to regain his fitness after 18 months out of the game, still not
fully fit, he certainly will be a key player next term. Rating: 7/10 Kristian
Waters
– Made himself a regular last season, after stepping up from the 2nds, and has
now installed himself as a quality first team player. Always tenacious, Kristian
only missed five games all season, as well as keeping up his tradition of
turning up late, to every event, including the night out. Good season. Rating: 8/10 Kevin
Brokenshire
– ‘Player’ has struggled to play regularly this season, although there has
never been any doubting his desire and commitment. Excellent clubman, good to
have around the changer room, cheers player. Rating: 6/10 Gary
Warren
– The ageing warhorse has a very consistent season, missing just one game all
season, the ‘Bulldozer’ has shown why he is one of the most feared midfield
ballplayers in the league! Good season. If his legs hold up, would still be good
for at least another season, great clubman. Rating: 8/10 James
Chapman
– Chappers’ best record this season, is managing not to earn himself, a red
card, although he did try his hardest against Dobwalls. A talented player, needs
to continue to learn to keep his mouth shut. Won this season’s goal of the
season comp at Callington, he also will be celebrating Sheff Utd’s promotion.
Well done. Rating: 6/10 Andy
Batt
– The ‘Battman’ or granddad as he was affectionally known by Parksey,
found it hard this season to break into the side regular, and subsequently moved
on team up with good friend, Gary Dyer at Nanpean. Always gave 100%. Rating: 6/10 Pete
Russett
– A great player signed from Foxhole, in the summer, however the challenge of
working away was always a challenge. Managing 11 apps, and scoring at Saltash.
Great player. Rating: 6/10 Daniel
Nancarrow
– Mr.Nancarrow has had troubled times with the club this season, not the most
popular in some parts of the dressing room, Dan has had an excellent season
finishing third with Falmouth in the SWL. But, always was a talent for Sticker,
played a blinder against St Cleer early season. Rating: 7/10 Liam
Dingle
– Made a real impact at the club this season, when joining aged 15 from Roche.
He showed minutes of brilliance, but not often enough, had great games against
Nanpean and Wadebridge, where he tore his opposite number to pieces. Turned
‘sweet’ 16 late in the season, and regrettably cant remember anything on
Puls-8 on the night-out. Good night Dingers. Will only improve, and will become
a great player. Rating: 7/10 Radek
Andrzejak
– Rowett’s foreign import, did well when called open, a talented player,
which he was in his homeland of Poland. Did well. Rating: 6/10 Steve
Webb
– Webby continues to improve, another great season, getting into the double
figures in the scoring charts, Steve has become one of the first names on the
team sheet, and has risen to the challenge of playing for a top six season, will
continue to improve. Very good season. Rating: 9/10 Ray
Clarke
– Troubled season for the ageing striker, still class in the air, he just cant
move as much any more. Likely to hang up his boots at the end of the season, to
end a much eventful career, best wishes go to Ray and wife Kerry who are
expecting their first child this summer, keep well Razor. Rating: 6/10 Chris
Kitson –
The star of the season. ‘Kitbag’ has notched an incredible 51 goals in all
comps this season, he never even thought he would better the 38 he made last
season. Five goals against St Cleer early season, showed all what he was about,
will surely be targeted by some SWL clubs in the summer, but, if he stays loyal
to Sticker will continue to be the ‘jewel in the crown’s. Hopefully he will
stay. What a season. Rating: 10/10 GOOD
SEASON LADS, TOP SIX WAS THE TARGET AND WE MADE IT. LETS
KEEP THE IMPROVEMENT NEXT SEASON, AND WE WILL BE RIGHT UP THERE |
