DIRECTIONS
TO THE STICKER 5 MILE ROAD RACE
STICKER
FOOTBALL CLUB WISH YOU ALL A SAFE JOURNEY TO AND FROM THE RACE.
From the A30
(heading South)
On entering
Cornwall
, pass signs to Launceston and carry on towards Bodmin,
passing Jamaica Inn,
Temple
and Cardinham. Proceed along the Bodmin Bypass, and at the
end, turn left at the Innis Downs roundabout. This is the A391, signposted to
Bugle and St Austell. Proceed through Bugle, Stenalees (A391 joins the B3274)
and Carthew to St Austell. Due to the Eden Project, expect heavy traffic around
St Austell.
*From
St Austell proceed along the A390, which will be signposted to
Truro
for about 1 mile. At the bottom of a long downhill section
(St Mewan School on the right), take a left turn to Polgooth and Sticker. The
race headquarters will be clearly signposted from this junction. Proceed for
about 1 mile to Sticker and turn right in the middle of the village, by the
Hewas Inn. Follow this road for about a half mile, and you will be directed to
the race car park on your right.
From the A38 (
Plymouth
, heading South)
After crossing the
Tamar
Bridge
, pass Saltash, Trerulefoot and Liskeard, and turn left at
Dobwalls, onto the A390. Proceed past Lostwithiel, St Blazey and you arrive at
St Austell. Carry straight on in the direction of
Truro
and follow the directions above.*
From the A30
(heading North)
At Chiverton Cross
roundabout (after Hayle, Camborne and Redruth) turn right to
Truro
on the A390, and proceed past Threemilestone and
Truro
, following signs to St Austell. Proceed along the Probus
Bypass, through Grampound (still A390) and as you reach the Sticker Bypass, turn
right at Hewas Water, to Sticker. The race headquarters will be clearly
signposted from this junction. Follow this road for about 1 mile to the
village
of
Sticker
and turn left at the Hewas Inn. Follow this road for about a
half mile, and you will be directed to the race car park on your right.
