Plymouth Argyle Reserves??? 9 Sticker 0
What a day for Sticker to have to play Plymouth Argyle Reserves with first team players in the team!! They ended up losing 9-0.It's hard enough playing against a team top of the league with such an inexperienced squad but all credit to them as they never gave up and battled away, Further report and team details to follow!
After a week of two hard and tough fixtures this was one step too far Sticker but it wasn’t for the want of trying and hard work that was applied.
Plymouth’s movement was of a different standard to what was usually seen at this level and they took the lead early on with good movement that deceived the Sticker team to start the scoring.
Sticker battled hard and when they did get the ball down played some good passes and with Jack Hooper and Callum Kenny looking strong and a threat up top it did show some good signs of trying to hit Argyle on the break.
Plymouth added further goals before the break with more good movement and a good eye for goal.
The 2nd half started slowly but then Argyle added 5 goals in a very small period with every tackle and deflection falling kindly in Plymouth’s way.
The club can take heart with so many regulars missing that the team and the young lads that were involved kept trying to play football against a very strong Argyle side and with Jowan Annear and Lewis Clapham joining the team for the day from the 2’s it was great to see them both on the pitch and getting involved.
Onwards to Tuesday night against Torpoint and a further run of fixtures.
